Yesterday was National Talk Like a Pirate Day!! And we had a bit of fun around here. First Rob (who is home recovering nicely from his 2nd cataract surgery) & I whipped out our pirate kite and hung it up in the entry way.
Then we got the movie - Treasure Island. The old Disney one. Made the homemade pizza dough and had a blast. Here's David's creation with a bit o' shaping help from Lord Right Eye Rob.

I'm glad Rob's surgery went well. Poor guy... I have an "eye phobia" and can't even imagine surgery!

Cathy, Rob has an eye phobia too. He would NEVER volunteer for laser surgery. But this is different since they replace the entire lens. The drugs they give him help trememdously. He has to be awake for the procedure and he says you don't feel anything and don't see any tools. Now he can see without contacts or glasses :D And the fact it's covered by health insurance isn't bad either!
Wow, that's awesome, Amy! I'm so glad the surgery went so well for him. And the rest is good news for me as well, as I have a slight growth on my left eye that will eventually need surgery. (It's a patch that always looks red, but it slowly growing over my iris.)
How great for Rob to not need the contacts/glasses! :)
