Our grandbaby - 100% to be an Elizabeth Nicole!

Robert & Jessica went to have a 3D ultrasound done this weekend. Those never existed when we had our babies! Gee, that makes me sound old doesn't it?! This is awesome to get a closer look into the personality of this little one. And boy, does she ever have a personality. She did start out with the "money shot". You know? The legs spread wide open to confirm that she was indeed a she! Then Lizzie became such a little lady and kept her legs closed the entire time. She was also trying to suck on her embillical cord and tried for about 30 minutes and when she couldn't we saw the scrunchiest, most poutest face ever. Just too adorable for us to-be grandparents. Lizzie finally found her arm and fist and was happy sucking on that. We just can't wait for her arrival. Less than 3 months! WOW! She'll be here before we know it and it will be so fun to compare these 3D shots with her real life pictures. I'm getting SO excited!

My Little Knight!

Sir David!
My Knight in shining armor!
All week long David was at Cub Scout Day camp. The theme was "Knights of Mount Baker". The boys had a great week and Auntie Lyn, you'd be pleased with how many requirements they checked off. We were happy too. The last night is family night and we had a blast. Well, except for the mosquitos at the end that really had a thing for me and I was SO ready to go home. It was a night filled with bb guns
archery
and KNIGHTS!
You can imagine the boys' pleasure when they saw these awesome knights come on the scene for our live entertainment. They were awesome! They put on a great show with their authentic fighting skills of the Medevil Times.

Okay I have to admit, when they were "injured" a few Monty Python & the Holy Grail lines did come out of my mouth. You know ~ "It's just a flesh wound" and "Come here and I'll bite your legs off". I couldn't resist! Scot & Rob do it waaay better than me.

Which reminds me! The keynote speaker for the trade show that Rob went to was none other than John Cleese of Monty Python fame. And for those who don't know him from that, he plays Sir Nicholas (Nearly Headless Nick) from Harry Potter. Rob said they couldn't stop laughing from his monolog.

KISS-updated

The update is just the add of these 2 pictures! I thought these were SO KISS! Rob has NEVER said a concert was too loud for him but this one was actually so loud it caused physical pain (no ear plugs). That's why he moved farther back for the other pictures and the rest of the concert. And this from my hubby that LOVES to be in the front for any concert.

Okay, so they're not the best pictures. What can you say about cell phone camera's?! But I thought it was just too funny. Rob's on a business trip to Anaheim and a "perk" of this particular trade show is a complimentary concert for the vendors. In the past he's seen Manhattan Transfer & the B-52's. This year ~ KISS! Unfortunately he said they really weren't that good ~ just good and loud. How could they not with that wall of speaker stacks?! I loved the pictures though ~ classic 70's & 80's!

Maya M ~ This is for you!

While Rob was up in the attic Tabitha & David asked him to bring down the ever precious PONY BOX so they could play.
How can you say no to that sweet face? Even at 19 she still turns on that "girl charm" with those beautiful eyelashes of hers. When setting everything up, Tabitha really wished Maya still lived here so she could come over to play. Here they all are!
Tabitha just couldn't pick which pictures and horses are her favorite, they all are her favorites in different ways. So here they all are Maya, sorted by groups ~ just for YOU!!
The miniatures
My Little Ponies

The Blacks

The Greys and Browns

The one with the pink saddle is FruFru (from Aristocats). She is mechanical and walks and her nose has a magnet so she can carry a basket. Pretty cool!

Oh! And Tabitha LOVES that wonderful shirt you had on in Utah with the ponies on it. Too bad they don't make one in her size. She'd totally wear it too! You're never too old for ponies!

Girls' Camp

What a week! It's been fun and long. I spent some time driving down at Cascade Park in Arlington with the girls from our Church 3 days this week. I was helping with crafts. And boy, did we have fun! I love being around these girls. They lift my spirit! Even though Rob's business trip was postponed to next week there still wasn't a place for David to go. Instead he & I spent some wonderful time together and he was the "girls camp craft mascot". He had over 80 big sisters and they loved him. The theme of the camp was from the scriptures "More Precious than Rubies". Every girl made a crown and being the last day he was able to make a crown since all the girls already had made one. He was "Prince of girls camp". Doesn't he look adorable?
On our way out he yells "Mom! Look! DEER!" I only saw a large tree stump but then I looked farther in. This cute little thing was having an afternoon munch on one of the neighbors landscaping. I'm so glad I brought my camera today. I LOVE deers. I think they are such beautiful creatures. I made my day to be able to photograph one so close. (We were in the car)
We can't wait for our little Amber to come home tomorrow all stinky and smelling like campfire. We've missed her.

I've Been Tagged!

Thanks to my ScrapJammies friend Linda, I'm IT! I (and each player) must write 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their 7 things and post the rules as well. At the end of the blog, you need to choose 5 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog.

1. LOVE chocolate! Can only go as high as 70% then it's too dark for me.

2. Auditioned as a dancer for a Disneyland Parade. Missed being a cast member by 1 person. One regret I have that I didn't return and try again.

3. I was brought home from the hospital in a Christmas stocking.

4. I don't like to camp. Bugs, dirt, campfire smell, port-a-potty ~ yuk!!! (I spent a few days this week at a church girls camp teaching crafts. But came home at night - mostly because I didn't have anyone to watch ds)

5. Within 4 years we had 4 close family members die. Dh mom, dh grandfather, my mom & my sister.

6. My father was a drummer for the Tommy Dorsey band before he was drafted into the Navy.

7. I don't like waiting for repair techs. to come to the house. (Have to do that tomorrow)

Okay, I'm now tagging the following people: Jessica, Cathy C., Danile, Kay, Jenny S.

A Little Taste of Heaven

Peaches! Washington State grows the most incredible peaches EVER! This year will be one of those canning years (at the end of August). This is the only thing I can. There is nothing like yummy peaches in the dead of winter. Well, except for FRESH peaches in the warmth of summer! YUMMY!!

Yes, it WAS as delicious as it looks!

You're NEVER too old for Hello Kitty!

For Amber's birthday back in May she was given a Build A Bear gift card. She FINALLY got to use it yesterday and picked Hello Kitty. Not a surprised for those who know her well. And because Amber had such a tough semester and such great grades, we also purchased the TinkerBell outfit. Don't they both look cute?!
For her birthday she was given this Sleeping Beauty Outfit.
You're NEVER too old for stuffed animals.

What a week!

It's always SO fun when company comes to visit. And this time was no exception. My dear friend, Lynette (we literally have known each other since we were 5 years old) and her daughter Shanon came so our girls could attend EFY together. While they had fun there, Lynette and I had TONS of fun too. Sometimes the fun was just doing nothing at all. This is up in White Rock, BC.

Pike Market in Seattle

Lynette brought the most adorable gift for baby Elizabeth. Her first pair of Vans Tennies & hat. I HAD to get a picture of Robert's huge hand holding these tiny shoes. Do you love that perspective?! Can't wait 'til there's a baby in that big hand!
We had way too much fun shooting off fireworks!
Boy, did we miss her husband Jeff being here. We love his "fireman stance" but he loves the fireworks too. We haven't been able to shoot of fireworks in California since we were kids so this is such a treat.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer ~ it sure is going fast for us! Stay cool!
