We Have a Birthday Boy in the House

It's hard to believe that 12 years ago I was on the way to the hospital delivering this sweet little bundle of joy.

And he's been spoiled by all his siblings ever since!
He has such unique relationships with each and every one of them. It's so fun to sit back as a parent and watch the interaction.
And here he is today!! My little (and last) baby is growing up too fast for my liking.
At least he still likes to play at the park :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
DAVID!!!!!

I'm a Blog Slacker

But we have a very, very good reason for this. Just look at who is visiting!!!

And we've been having such a fun, fun time. For some of you this visit is a surprise. That's because we had to keep it a secret. It was a complete surprise for the kids. All they knew was I had an "appointment". School was delayed that day due to the flooding so I was glad that Rob was home to take them. The surprise was PERFECT!!! Lizzie & Jessica were standing in the kitchen when the kids came home from school and David was the first one in the door. He looks up and says "Hi Lizzie!!" He was so sweet too as he started to tear up just seeing the two of them.
And Amber says "What are you talking about David?!" As she walks around the corner and here's her reaction.
The BEST reaction of the night was Tabitha! She and Josh were coming over that night to celebrate her December b-day for cake and presents. As she walked in the door we covered her eyes for the "big surprise".

(Sorry these are blurry. These guys were just moving all over the place) She screamed and cried and thought it was the best surprise present EVER!!

Rob & Amber had to leave very early in the morning to head to Tacoma for Amber's Honor band so David & I got them all to ourselves. Here's Lizzie's reaction to seeing her Uncle David coming down the stairs on Saturday morning.
She has him (and all of us really) completely wrapped around her little finger. She also claps every time he comes into the room.

Just a few more to tell you how much we are enjoying having Jessica & Lizzie here with us.

The Ultimate White Christmas!

As you can tell from two posts below we were already "blessed" with some snow. And that was fine. It could have stopped there but it didn't! We had so much fun shoveling and shoveling and MORE shoveling to keep our driveway clear. When the storm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was all done, I think we shoveled a good 18". That doesn't count the wet snow from yesterday to make sure the drain pipes and grates are clear so there isn't any flooding.

Snow for Christmas is a rare event indeed. And this much for us is just plain CRAZY!! But it has been fun to play in. And we are now ready for it to go away. I'll stop talking now and let you see for yourself.

What we woke up to on Christmas Eve Day!

That's 10" of powder on the driveway :D

What we woke up to on Christmas morning! MORE SNOW!!

Same shot from yesterday. Where's the picnic table?

Our backyard~really it is!

One wicked ice cycle!

Snow Chairs

Amber's snowman creation on the back of Rob's car! The snow was so powdery that putting a snowball together was difficult.

Look at these drifts!

Sledding! Fun Times!!

Josh & Tabitha.

Josh, we love you but you still look like a Teletubbie!!

A beautiful scene before heading inside for a wonderful dinner. We hope everyone had a wonderful day celebrating our Savior's birth.

Such a busy season...

...I haven't had the time to post.
Our decorated tree!

Rob & David put up the train around the tree last night.

TOLO:

Amber and her date Cole

Cole was such a good sport and "stud muffin" walking in with two girls! Morgan's date wasn't able to come (yes, us Mom's wanted to smack him!) and she already had her dress, flowers and tickets. They had such a good time and came back and played games.
SNOW!!! And LOTS of it!!

And don't forget the good old North East wind!
Gotta love snow drifts!

David and Rob had a snowball fight. I think you can tell from this picture who won!
