Do your kids?

Draw pictures on the inside of the freezer door at the grocery store?

Meet the artist

Act crazy and make funny faces when they choose ice cream?

Let alone ASK to have their picture taken inside a grocery store - posing with ice cream

And the fact that I have a camera IN my purse. Doesn't that make you go hmmmmmmmm?

Harry Potter Crazed!

Our girls went to the midnight show opening night of Harry Potter. Of course, us responsible adults (wink, wink) that have to work and get other kids to jazz band festival didn't go. BUT... we went on Saturday afternoon.

Amber's owl was quite the hit

Great movie for these Harry Potter fans!

Thursday girl fun!!

So Thursday wound up being a ME night!! Tabitha had to work and Amber went to institute class at church. So it was just ME from about 3:15 pm. Talk about nice! So what's a girl to do but cook up a little bacon

brown up some of those raw tortilla's (Costco) into little strips

and make a HUGE salad for myself

Then run out to Lynden Dutch Bakery for one of these goodies

Pop this movie in the DVD player

and start to scrapbook :D
Photobucket
Just one of the 2 layouts I completed that night before Rob and David came home from Scout camp ready to sleep in their own beds at around 9:30.

The Fun Continues!!

Tuesday night we went to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie. Even if you don't have little ones and are a Pooh fan, you MUST go see this movie. It's fabulous!! It kept a smile on our faces the entire time and lots of laughter.
http://disney.go.com/Pooh/

Yesterday was one of those "change of plans" kind of days. Rob came home in the morning due to his hiking/walking shoes giving out on him and giving him blisters. Poor guy! So we took advantage of it and went out to breakfast (just the two of us), got his new shoes, hung out at Chocolate Necessities so Tabitha could practice on us making a drinking chocolate and did some errands. One thing I couldn't resist was this fabulous bowl. Just one of those "because I like it" kind of purchases.

The lettuce is fresh from the garden

The bowl is so versatile it looks great for lettuce at dinner and then popcorn for a snack.

Girl night was just being at home in our jammies, eating popcorn and watching Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

GIRL TIME!!!

The boys in our household are off playing (I use the term playing loosely when it come to Rob) at Boy Scout Camp all week long. It's a fun PARTY at the Anderson's house - NO BOYS ALLOWED!! And what do the girls want to do on our first night being just us girl? They want to go to a baseball game to "watch the boys"!!

So being the good Mom I am, I made sure they were as close as they could get without being in the dugout. I'm sure they would have liked that too if I could have arranged it ;D

Hey, I was just happy it was giveaway night:

We have a running joke around here about this little mascot. Rob can't stand him. Yes, I foresee some torturing going on here. And I didn't mind because the weather was fabulous for an evening of baseball.

Anyway, I had some extra daughters along:

Pam, Amber, Tabitha and Gena

Now let me tell you, it was quite the entertainment to sit back and watch all the flirting going on between the boys in the dugout and these girlies. You know the kind where the boys try to look, but not LOOK like they are looking? And the girls didn't have one problem looking in that direction either. I think the girls must have inspired the team as the Bells won 16 - 1. With some really great plays!

And thanks to Dawn Hatch, she made sure that these girls met their "favorites".

Number 24 - Jacob Coats

Number 19 - Ben Grubb
Number 4 - Marshall Yanzik

And Ryan - the team "cheerleader". He's so awesome!

Now there is a story behind this picture

Let's just say that Ben didn't have to be encouraged in any way, shape or form to have his arm around Tabitha. In fact, I'm positive he enjoyed it immensely! Because here he is hugging on my girl even before Gena and number 4, Marshall came into the picture. And he kept his arm around her way after we were done with the photos. Long enough for me (in my mind) to say "Okay, you can let go of my daughter now! Too bad he didn't take the opportunity to ask her for her name, etc. Maybe Dawn can arrange that too ;)

This is just NOT right!!

It's July for crying out loud. I should not need to drink this to stay warm on a Saturday morning.

The only good thing is it was made from Rob's chocolate. Can't get any better then that!!

LOTS of concerts!

The day after the Farmers Day Parade (here's a little video of the middle school band)

Amber had her bassoon recital. Well, she called it "The Double Reed" recital.

Next up - details the benefit concert of Marvin Goldstein and Vaness Joy!

Farmers Day Parade

Last one for David as an 8th grader. And we are back to only having one kid in the parade. Weird, I tell ya!

As you can see, the band was number 66 in the parade so we had some time to waste. And we had some fun.

Us girls!!

Since it was great weather, off we went to our traditional after parade treat - Edaleen Dairy.

And giving David a SUPER soft ice cream!!!

And being harassed by his sister

Cute picture of Tabitha and her Dad

And this comparison just cracks me up!

We just have too much fun around here!

Sorry...

...for the unexpected break in blogging. I certainly didn't plan for that to happen. Life has been such a blur. I can't remember being so busy, busy, busy. We FINALLY got a new bbq!! A BIG thanks to Gracelyn for driving me to Costco in their truck to bring this bad baby home.

Rob doing some of the assembly

Tada!!

Someone is just a little bit happy! Happy because we saved for almost 2 years to be able to pay cash - 100% CASH!! And if you know us, going for that long without a bbq - well, we were dying!! We LOVE to bbq. Even in the rain.

So what had the honor to be the first meal?

Chicken and our grilled biscuits

Rob had a birthday!

And received a book by his former institute instructor, Jack Rushton. He is one amazing man. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBnXN6I_CgM

Rob's cake didn't look so amazing. I haven't had a cake look like this in years!! But...

...once on the plate with ice cream it didn't matter. It was delicious.

And took Rob to his favorite restaurant for dinner - Giraffe's in White Rock, BC

They have the BEST food :D

We went to the US Army Band and Choir concert.

SO AMAZING!!

And that takes us through the end of May.
