Travel day!

We drove! Yup! You got that right! You know we're not road trip people. But we were certainly glad we decided to because the Army changed things so many times. It was a good thing we didn't have airplane tickets that needed to be changed. This way we made the trip work out to our benefit and we actually left 4 days earlier then we originally planned.

Here we are leaving at an hour that is just wrong for a Saturday morning. But everyone's spirit's were up and we were ready to go.

Everyone was up, well except for David.

Poor thing stuck between his sisters. All snug with pillows and blankets. Our kids have always been good travelers and this trip was no exception. They were awesome!!

We seemed to be making pretty good time until we hit Oregon and Idaho. And we saw a whole lot of this:

A whole lot of nothin' and dead bugs on the windshield!! We finally pulled into Robert's place around 9:30-10:00 pm. LOTS of hugging took place so no pictures. Off to bed for us all to headed out in the morning to see The Mormon Tabernacle Choir while Robert goes to pick up Lizzie.

It just ain't a road trip unless you are sandwiched in the car like sardine!
