YUP!! A hot chocolate every afternoon is on my list of things to do this week.
Why you ask? Because I have been selected to serve on a jury in the Whatcom County Superior Court. And it's one tough case!!! We started on Wednesday and let me tell you, it was already intense. So to make my day, I am going to go to Chocolate Necessities EVERY day to decompress as much as possible during my lunch time.
What is it about hot chocolate that just can soothe and relax you?

Presidents Day-Monday
We took advantage of having the day off and went up to Canada to go play laser tag at PLANET LAZER!!! Last time we went David was about 3 or 4 years old and was a little scared, always had to be with his Mom or Dad and be told when to shoot the laser gun. NOT NOW!!! He's one competitive kid. Well, I think we all were!

These two couldn't wait to get in there!

Of course you HAVE to wear black. You can't have anyone being able to pick you out because you glow in the dark. Just don't smile!! You will never stop laughing.

Proof that I actually BEAT Rob's score!! He made sure that didn't happen again.

Team GREEN RULES!!!
By the end of our 3 games we had worked up a little sweat. Especially in the last game when there must have been a good 20 or so people in there. Now THAT was fun!!

We won't wait so long to go again! We had too much fun!

5:30 AM - WAKE UP!!!!!
I know, it's hard to tell what this is. But it's a fire engine!! Yup!! They visited our house this morning at 5:40AM. Our smoke detectors went off. ALL of them. As they are hardwire linked together. Thanking God that there was no fire!! What was the problem? Seems the detector itself has malfunctioned.
So as a few reminders:

Hope this means Spring is coming
Our yard bunny has returned!!

Just snuggling under our tree that has buds on it!!

The farmers have brought out their plowing equipment

And a gorgeous, sunny day in February!

Even though it's only 55 degrees

We can only hope Punxsutawney Phil was right and we will have an early spring.

Honestly...
...when did my baby grow up?

Getting so good on the trombone that he has been asked to play in the high school spirit band for the 2nd year in a row. The boy is still in middle school!!! 8th grade!

Instead of going to a school Valentine's Dance he wants to have lunch with his Mom :D Food is always a good bribe for 14 year old boys!

He has wonderful friends! And he's such a handsome thing. But that 's just coming from his biased Mom.

On A Winter's Day!
January 31, 2011
Was a day that just gets into you soul and makes you happy. The morning started by noticing that it's was starting to get lighter when dropping David off at school.

Such a beautiful sunrise.
Then on my drive into Bellingham the scenery was just too beautiful to not capture it.

The peak of Mt. Baker on the left. The Twin Sisters on the right.

So picturesque!
And that evening I happened to have to drive to a meeting around sunset and enjoyed the sunset.

THIS is why we live in the beautiful Northwest!

Girls Weekend
So back in January I had the opportunity to go visit my friends in St. Louis for a scrapping girls weekend. I honestly have NEVER done anything like that before. And have been putting away $$ just to be able to do such a thing like this. I left on a Thursday and came home, or was supposed to come on on Sunday night. I didn't make it home until Monday morning due to plane problems. Anyway, here's just a few tidbits for my trip.

The start of the Lewis and Clark trail!

Going to the Arch

Touring the town seeing historic houses

Having fun with these gals!!!
And my fabulous welcome (trying to be in Dutch) home sign from my kiddos!

I think they missed their Mom :D

Teenage Boys on a Saturday Night

Yes!!! In the grocery store to buy some of that nasty, pink punch/juice. Rob and I were at the checkout stand as he says "We need to leave because 2 bunnies just walked in the store". I could hardly contain myself. They just made me laugh. And they were more then happy to pose for a cell phone picture!

Rob's Trip to India
So sorry we forgot to post about his business trip to India back in November. One of the interesting pieces of trivia? Rob and Robert were in the air at the same time, going in the same direction. Robert left on the same day from Utah from his leave. It was strange to think they were flying at the same time but not able to be together or see each other.
Talk about a LONG flight. 30 hours!! He left on a Saturday morning from Bellingham at 9 am and arrived in India at 4 am Monday morning. Bleck! :P

Just your normal sign in the airport to lead you to the prayer room

Yes, there are people in the airport at 4 am!! Wait until you see outside the airport. But first some little trinkets you can purchase at the airport gift shop.

It's so humid so can literally SEE the moisture

And just look at all the people out at 4 am!!

Some of the sights in Trivanderium

Would you put your money in this bank?

And what are the chances of Rob seeing a truck carrying cacao beans?

The Doorman at Rob's 1st hotel
Then he drove about 4 hours toward the coast to their next customer. What a beautiful hotel!!

And view!

We are so grateful he made it home without any problems. And LOTS of frequent flyer miles!!
And how would you like to drive in this?
